BACKGROUND: His grandfather was a traditionalist. From the moment Charlie's parents were killed in a car wreck until his own death in 2020, his grandfather Charles Molay trained him as a classic knight. Realizing that they could only face the future by embracing the past, he gave Charlie updated combat training only after he had mastered the medieval ways.

Sticking true to the Knights' of Christ original purpose, his grandfather made sure he was well verse in the religious aspects of why they continued to protect the world from wrong doers and demons. Because of this--as well as their heritage as descendants of Jacques de Molay, it was no surprise that he made his way up through the ranks of the Templars, eventually becoming the current Grand Master. Using traditional teachings, as well as the ideal that the Grand Master's place was at the front lines along with his men, Charlie has been very involved with their doings in infiltrating the government.

Because of this, he hasn't been able to catch up with the mission in Seattle, spending most of his time in D.C. hoping to assure the next Presidential candidate is one of their own. It's the explosion of their Seattle branch that's caught his attention and warranted a personal visit from the Grand Master himself.
